After leading the field in the Brook Meadow Individual League for the majority of the first half of the season, Mark Birch now has to content himself as joint leader with reigning champion Robbie Earl. The man who produced the shock win of the week was Alan Smith, who in his 2-1 victory over Birch recorded a 124 checkout. Earl has continued his fine winning run with a 3-0 success over Alan Smith followed by a 2-1 success against Darren Elkin to see him draw level in every respect with Birch. The second half of the campaign should be quite a tense and thrilling affair.
