A Look Back In Time 14.06.2006
For the second consecutive week Robbie Earl has suffered a setback to his title aspirations in the Brook Meadow Individual League. Last week Robbie went down 2-1 to Ian McFarlane, this week by the same margin he lost out to Simon Winters after he had beaten Roy Parry 3-0. Robbie still holds on to pole position despite his nearest challenger, Mark Birch recording 2-1 wins over Carl Winters, Simon Winters and Ian McFarlane. However, Earl’s advantage has been reduced to just one point, but he has a game in hand.
The game between Birch and McFarlane was a cracker, Birch hitting two maximums, 140 and 4x100, to McFarlane’s 2x140,136,121 and 5x100, both players had a fifteen darts leg. Fastest leg of the week went to Birch in his win over Carl Winters where he checked out in thirteen darts.
